Composed during a difficult personal season, this setting leans into the intimacy and reassurance of Psalm 145. I approached it almost as a lullaby, allowing the music to remain soft, spacious, and unforced. The recurring wordless textures (“oohs” and “aahs”) serve as a peaceful frame around the text, reinforcing the sense of nearness, trust, and quiet refuge in God’s presence.
